Viper Strike

Viper Strike is a claw / dagger / sword melee strike attack skill. It hits the enemy, converting physical damage to chaos damage, and applies poison, dealing chaos damage over time based on the combined physical and chaos damage dealt. It uses both weapons to deal damage if you are dual wielding. In addition, Viper Strike is the starting skill gem for Shadow. It drops after killing the first monster of the game, Hungry Corpse.

Viper Strike applies poison with a 4-second duration on hit. Viper Strike specifically overrides the base poison duration with its own base skill duration. Increased Duration Support, Less Duration Support, Unbound Ailments Support and Swift Affliction Support all affect the duration of that poison.

Some beneficial curses and auras for Viper Strike include Despair, Temporal Chains and Malevolence.

Viper Strike is a Strike attack, thus:

Multistrike Support allows to automatically target nearby enemies for two additional strikes. Note that even though this support gem lessens attack damage, poison does not scale from attack damage modifiers.
Melee Splash Support causes Viper Strike to hit enemies around the initial target, poisoning each.
Ancestral Call Support, Strike Skills target an additional nearby Enemy prefix modifier on hunter-influenced gloves, and annointable passive Tribal Fury all work with Viper Strike.

Alright, so I was once like you. I was tired of dodging randomly spawning balls and killing the same bird monster thousands of times. I watched some YouTube videos because Malenia was kicking my @$$ or that witch quest was taking forever, etc... I needed help and the grind was getting - well - grindy. So I sucked it up and ordered some runes and gear. "Great!" I thought, thinking all my worries were over. Now I just sat back and waited. For over 16+ hours between 2 days and never got my items and runes!!! So why the 5 star review you ask? Well, here goes: (please learn from my mistakes and you will be very pleased ;)) 1. They originally had contradicting guides as to how to receive your purchased items. I brought it to their attention and the guides have since been updated. For me, the duelist finger didn't work... at all! I wasted 2 days of gameplay just standing there. Instead, use the Tarnished's Furled Finger!!!! Can't stress enough how fast they get to you when ya do. 2. Order runes separately from items (you can thank me later). This helps streamline the process and you won't have to deal with customer support issues later. 3. Patience is a virtue and something you will need. Once I used the right finger, I never waited more than 90 minutes for an order (usually under 30 minutes). Place your order, then me personally would keep playing until you get an email saying your order is ready, then teleport, drop your sign with the correct password (it changes), and boom!!! A little wait later and you are buying all the smithing stones for new game plus, or leveling up your character to beat up on some NPCs, or whatever your pleasure. 4. I am 3 orders in now. 100 million+ runes and 30+ items later - I can without a doubt say they are legit. I seriously doubted it at first, but so far so good (was shorted some runes, but #2 up above should help y'all avoid that issue). Oh, and I beat the hell out of Malenia! Hope this helps. Because these people are a great help!! And I have seen a bunch of one star reviews, but personally as a guy who works more than he can play, these people are life savers!!
