Berek's Grip is a unique sapphire and topaz Two-Stone Ring. This item is one component of a vendor recipe used to acquire The Taming. Status ailments (such as shock) require an initial hit to determine whether they apply to the enemy. Therefore, the first hit on an ailment-free enemy will apply the shock, and only subsequent hits will leech life. Applying shocking ground on the enemy can be used to skip the requirement of the first hit. Berek's Grip ring has been added to core loot table and able to be chanced without Zana map modifier. However, as of 3.14, divination card that grant league-specific item, such as Fateful Meeting and The Valkyrie, etc, still rewards this ring as a possible reward.
