Added Cold Damage is a support gem that adds cold damage to hits made with the linked skill. The cold damage will be added to hits made by any attack skill or spell that hits, or hits made by things such as the area damage explosions from Fireball, Detonate Dead, or Minion Instability. The cold damage will not be added to damage that is not part of a "hit", such as the Bleeding caused by Puncture, or the Chaos Damage per second from being Poisoned by Caustic Arrow or Viper Strike. The cold damage will however be added to the weapon hits from Puncture, Caustic Arrow, Viper Strike, and any other skill that hits.
